California Arts Council (www.cac.ca.gov)
The California Arts Council is a state agency governed by an 11-member council appointed by the Governor and the Legislature to advance the state through the Arts and creativity, with an emphasis on children and underserved communities.Council members and staff have expertise in the creative industries, Arts education, community development, state and local government, and the nonprofit and for-profit Art sectors. We support Arts in education, professional Artists across the state, help build strong Arts organizations at the local level, assist with the professional development of Arts leaders, and promote awareness of the value of the Arts. The Arts spark the engine of Creative California, and our goal is to ensure that they are available for every Californian.

 
California Association for Music Education (www.calmusiced.com)
CMEA is a Federated unit of MENC: The National Association for Music Education . Membership is open to all music educators working in public and private schools, colleges and universities in California. The purposes of the association are: to promote access to a sequential music education for all Pre-K through grade 12 students taught by fully qualified music educators; to support and improve existing music programs; to promote quality pre-service and in-service music teacher preparation programs; and, to create a greater awareness of the value of music education through partnerships with other associations and advocacy among state and local agencies.
 
California Alliance for Arts Education (www.artsed411.org)
Over its 33-year history, CAAE has advanced its mission to promote, support and advocate visual and performing arts education for preschool through post-secondary students in California schools.  It is the only statewide organization that brings together all primary constituencies for arts education, K-12 teachers, school and district administrators, professional teacher associations, teaching artists, arts organizations, professional development providers, parents and PTAs, and interested community members in higher education and business. CAAE works with this broad cross-section of constituents to develop policy and advocate for change at both state and local levels. A member of the nationwide Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network, CAAE’s success has been predicated on a model of strategic partnerships including the California Music Project and other organizations.
National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment (www.NABFEME.org) NABFEME is the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment; a non-profit professional organization dedicated to the support and empowerment of women of color in recorded music, the media and related entertainment industry fields. NABFEME is committed to the development of support programs and the creation of alliances that will assist our members in achieving their personal and professional goals. We are proud to help support the California Music Project and our shared interest in restoring music education to public schools.
 
California State Students Association (www.csustudents.org)
It is the mission of the California State Student Association (CSSA) to maintain and enhance accessibility for the people of California, to the People’s University. As the single recognized voice for over 400,000 students in the California State University system, CSSA is the acknowledged statewide student organization designed to represent, serve and protect the collective interests of students in the CSU system.  The involvement of the CSSA and its student members will provide a lobbying voice to the California Music Project and serve to galvanize it’s efforts and programs across all of the California State University campuses.
