Who We Are
What we do
CMP has commenced a number of projects designed to both raise funds and awareness for music education:
1) CMP’s signature product, modeled after the successful Texas Music Project, is the creation of a series of specially-created compilation albums that bring together leading recording artists who share our passion for music in schools, with the proceeds directed to grants for music teachers.  The  California Music Project CD was released in October 2006 and served as the centerpiece for the launch of CMP’s advocacy campaign. All proceeds form the sale of this CD have benefited the California Music Project and music education in California schools
2) A second fund raising project is being led by three of our Board members, Steve Cinelli, Jimmy Dillon, and Cathy Fitzgerald. It was an annual Benefit Concert held in San Francisco on January 18, 2007 at the venerable Bimbos. Headlined by all-star rock musicians that donated all funds to Bay Area music programs for children.
